The Shizi Ocean, also known as the Shiziyang Ocean, is called 獅子洋 in Chinese. It runs from the confluence of the Dong River (China) and the Pearl River to the Bocca Tigris. It is a wide deep tidal strait connecting the Huangpu New Port of Guangzhou to the South China Sea.The Huangpu New Port is located at the confluence of the Dong River (China) and the Pearl River. The Huangpu New Port is only part of the larger Port of Guangzhou. The Shizi Ocean and the Bocca Tigris, aka the Boca Tigris, Bogue, Humen, Humen Strait, or Tiger Gate, are all part of a huge aquatic system called the Pearl River Delta.
